On October 21, 2008, the Ànti-Corruption Information Service (À²S) reported on the results of their six months of work at the premises of IA “Ukrinform” - the incomplete list of achievements includes 1700 calls, 1400 legal consultations, 14 successfully solved cases, and appeals to the central government.

CSOs concerned with corruption affecting young people think it an important milestone on the way to corruption-free society.     

On October 15, 2008 experts gathered at the round table to combine their efforts and issue a text-book on anti-corruption education for pupils of 10-11 grades.  Simultaneously, methodological recommendations for teachers, who will lecture pupils about corruption, will be developed.   

September 17, 2008 – Council on realization of the MCC Threshold Program in Ukraine held its regular meeting where ACTION project (TCP Component 1) presented its achievement since December 2006.  ACTION activities were high-ranked both by Ukrainian governors and MCC leaders. The World Bank in Ukraine and Promoting Active Citizen Engagement (ACTION) in Combating Corruption in Ukraine invite young people 15 to 25 years old to participate in the National Essay Competition 2008. 

Project on training journalists to conduct investigations on issues of corruption is implemented by the Regional Press Development Institute (RPDI) in partnership with Association of Media Lawyers (ÀML), invites journalists from all types of media outlets to take part in trainings on Technology of Journalistic Investigations. Two levels of trainings are offered– two beginner level trainings and two advanced level trainings.
