The Round Table “Who Spends the State Budget Subsidies? Monitoring results“
On April 29, 2009 the National coalition on monitoring of the local budget subsidies will hold the final round table at the premises of Dzhyntama hotel: Triohsviatytelska str., Kyiv. The event will be conducted between 11 am and 1.30 pm.
Why certain oblasts are granted more subsidies than others? How are billions of flood relief subsidies really spent? Who benefits from the mayhem in state budget legislation? What do local MPs hide from the public refusing to answer informational requests? Are public officials really invested in energy conservation during the recession? What are the “bottlenecks” for allocation of state subsidies?
Representatives of the National coalition on monitoring of the local budget subsidies allocation will answer all these questions at the final round table on the monitoring results conducted in six oblasts of Ukraine. During the event a set of recommendations developed specifically to improve the current situation in the sector will be presented. The list of invitees includes Verkhovna Rada and Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine representatives, coalition members and representatives of various NGOs and mass media.
