“Corruption in Ukraine: What has changed over the last two years?”
June 15, 2009, 10.30 -11.30, Informational Agency «UKRINFORM» ( 8/16 B. Khmelnytskoho street) – ACTION Project will present results of the third National Survey on the State of Corruption in Ukraine.
The complex survey is the largest and most sophisticated measurement of corruption in Ukraine’s history and goes into tremendous detail to study how corruption changes over time. It allows for an unprecedented depth in the understanding of corruption and moves away from simple perception and rumor-based studies. The results compare three surveys on corruption between 2007 and 2009 to monitor corruption trends over time and will be released for the first time at the presentation.
Some topics that will be discussed:
- Changes in trust toward political bodies to fight corruption
- Corruption experience and perception, and their relationship
- Which is the most and least corrupt oblast in Ukraine?
- Which population group is most likely and least likely to engage in corruption?
